Privacy policy

What we collect from creators

Your email address, the page you build (name, bio, images, links), your plan and billing status, and a record of when you sign in (time, device type, country).

What we collect from visitors to a page

When someone views a page or taps a link we record the time, the referring site, device type, country, and any UTM campaign tags. We do not store IP addresses or full user agents, and we never sell visitor data.

If a creator turns on Meta, TikTok or Google Analytics, those services load only after the visitor accepts a consent prompt.

Email subscribers

If you sign up to a creator's list, we email you once to confirm, and you are only on the list after you confirm. The creator receives your email address. We keep it on their behalf and never use it ourselves. Every email we send for a creator has a link to unsubscribe, which takes you off their list straight away.

Cookies

Placecard uses a sign in cookie for creators, and short-lived cookies to remember a chosen plan or promo code during signup. Visitor-facing tracking cookies are only set after consent.

How long we keep data

Raw view and click events: 13 months, then only daily totals. Sign in history: 12 months. Admin audit records: 24 months. Backups: 14 days.

Deleting your account removes your page, subscribers, analytics, uploads and login. Commission and payout records are kept for accounting, with your name, email and username removed.

Your rights

You can download everything on your page from your dashboard, and delete your account at any time. For anything else, write to us.
